Stopping my Patreon support

Tech_0neTech_0ne Posts: 319
Hi Bryan and the rest of the forum.

Im sorry to say I will be stopping my patronage for Tech YES City via patreon after  3 years of support:

The new fees are unacceptable in my eyes. I only donate between 1 and 5 dollars a month and was already getting charged 20% VAT for the privilege (why the hell VAT applies to a donation is beyond me) but with the extra 35% now going to patreon I have had enough. Why should 55% of my money be split between the uk government and patreon?

Just to be clear, I love the channel and I want to keep supporting you Bryan, so if you have another means of setting up a monthly support structure I'll be down for that, but patreon can fu(k off.

Just FYI Bryan, I watched a Sargon of Akkad video just now and he's set up with https://www.makersupport.com
No idea how good they are or even if it's a legit site but it might be worth checking out.

Hey Gaz, yeah the new patreon fees are bad, they have backpeddled, but I will seriously try a lot harder when the new studio is up to get something else set up.
Happy New Year's Everyone, here is to an awesome 2017!

Yeah I completely understand, I just don't know why they wouldn't email creators and get way more feedback before implementing something so different.
