Insanity in PC parts these days

In case there is anyone out there who doesn't understand the insansity in certain parts of the PC parts market these days take a look at liquidation.com

They basically sell what are called "salvage" auctions from amazon.  Salvage auctions are where returned goods are unable to be refurbished.  Below is the definition of "salvage"

"Salvage assets have been identified as defective for reasons concerning their functionality, appearance or both.  Salvage assets can only usually be used for parts."

Looking at an auction, i see the manifest has the following:

The last bid for this auction, which ends in 15 minutes from this post is $825.  People are taking huge flyers on certain parts.

    Seems risky to spend that much on 'salvaged' parts but I suppose if you can fix them up you're onto a winner.
